Son of the great conductor Claudio Abbado and Victoria Mullova, one of the finest violinists of her generation, few have such a musical pedigree as jazz bassist Misha, our last BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, who brings his quintet to play his own acclaimed compositions in a late night concert.


His programme is going to be “an eclectic mix of delightful jazz" all composed by Misha himself.

Misha is winner of the 2014 Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize and is an in-demand bass player, composer and arranger.  He is a 2017 BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, a 2014 City of Music Foundation Artist and has released two albums on Edition Records as a band leader and composer.  Misha writes for various jazz groups as well as classical soloists and ensembles.
